The Sandbox
The Sandbox
DOTS-based traversal and movement work on a live online project with all-player impact.
Overview
Worked on core 3C movement and traversal systems in a live DOTS-based online project. The emphasis was on reliable simulation code, player movement features, and broad runtime improvements that touched the whole game.
The work sat close to the foundation of the gameplay stack, which meant technical reviews, architecture consistency, and maintainability mattered as much as feature delivery.
Responsibilities
- Implemented player movement and traversal features including dashing, double jump, gliding, and flying
- Built gameplay systems with Unity DOTS, ECS, Jobs, and Burst
- Contributed to bug fixing, stability work, and runtime performance improvements
Impact
- Delivered changes that affected all players through core movement systems
- Improved maintainability and consistency through technical reviews and architecture discussions
