Core 3C and player-facing gameplay work for a large-scale live virtual world platform.
Overview
Worked on core character and player-facing gameplay systems inside a live Web3 virtual world platform. The work focused on features that touched every player: traversal, expressiveness, controller flexibility for UGC, and general gameplay stability.
The role combined direct implementation with production issue investigation across gameplay and networking layers, in a team that was already using AI heavily in code review, CI, and internal tooling.
Responsibilities
- Implemented core 3C and player-facing gameplay systems
- Delivered character features including gliding, double jump, UGC controller overrides, Smart Items, dynamic lights, and Head Sync
- Investigated production issues across gameplay and networking layers
Impact
- Shipped character features affecting all players
- Improved gameplay stability across live and UGC experiences
- Drove internal discussion around practical AI adoption in engineering
